Hi there, can I wash your car?!

I promise to back the car out slowly, with the help of my dad

And then I'll just take this washcloth

And dip it in the bucket full of bubbles

And I'll scrub scrub scub!
Happy mothers day mama, I hope you enjoy your sparkly white car tomorrow on the way to church!
Love,
Sawyer

I've been loving this

She and him on pandora. It's my happy place.

And that music playing with this monkey running around is my bliss!

What do you get when you have an orange pail full of water and a Greek yogurt cup?

Answer: A whole lot of fun!!

And what do you you get when you have a rambunctious 17 month old boy?

Answer: A lean mean climbing machine.
I can't even get mad at him for standing on the chair because he's so dang proud of himself for climbing up on it.

Bottles just taste better when your standing on a chair!

Spring has sprung

Dare I say that Las Vegas is beautiful right now... Trees are in bloom in vicious hues of yellow, red, purple, pink, and orange. And quite frankly, I can't get enough of it. I take detour routes to and from the park just to take in the beauty of "spring" here.

I haven't alway felt this way. I used to think of Vegas as a sandbox that was always the same boring shades of tan and brown and hot as HEdouble hockey sticks. And I was ok with thinking that way because I was doggone determined to keep Utah as the most beautiful place on earth in my book. And while I love the beauty that is Utah, I am learning I love the beauty that is Las Vegas.

Sawyer and I sang popcorn popping as we passed this tree. Couldn't resist.

The boy learned how to do puzzles at the library. He loves them. Thank goodness, because we will be seeking the relief of their AC during our many summer outings to come.

Peek-a-boo my sweet boy.

Lately he loves to sit outside. By himself. With his snacks.

And we started the week of by swingin at the park. Notice the boy's watch. We seriously don't leave home without it!

A shower, remote, and a garden

Sawyer loves to put on his sunglasses and watch and shoes. It's our daily routine.
His most favorite place to be is in my bathroom going through all my drawers of stuff. To his disappointment daddy put locks on the drawers so he can no longer throw my perfume, makeup, blow dryers, hair ties, and deodorant all over the floor (or in the toilet). So he has found something else to entertain him... my shower. We have a walk-in shower, and he loves to walk in it and organize all my shampoos and conditioners just so. He claps for himself when he's done cuz brother knows he's done a good job. He leaves a good amount of footprints in the somewhat damp shower, so when the busy boy finally sleeps momma gets busy scrubbing those footprints. Or not. Sometimes I leave them because I like to see baby footprints when I get in the shower.

Today he got a hold of the remote control to the tv and somehow got the Dan Patrick show on and pointed to it and said "daddy!!!" (because he knows daddy watches that show before work in the morninngs) and watched it for a good five minutes. (Dan patrick is basically a sports radio guy). I quickly picked up my phone to call that "daddy" to inform him he should be a proud dad for two reasons: 1. That his son knows how to work the tv and 2. his son chose Dan Patrick.

Notice he fell asleep with his dad's watch on. I thought I got all the watches off before bed, but this is what I found when I went to check on him.

And this beauty went on my sandwich today. I walked out to my garden this morning to converse with my plants. I talk to them and encourage them to grow in this crazy heat. And there she was in all her juicy red glory. Delicious my friends, absolutely delicious. Lyla was even jealous.

My Sawyer

This picture says a lot about my Sawyer
1. He likes to be inside and outside at the same time. All day long. It's a sad story when the door has to close so we can turn on the AC.
2. He likes bare piggins. He begs you to put on his shoes, but don't be fooled. He likes free pigs
3. He loves his bottle. lovingly referred to as "baba". He walks around with it hanging from his teeth. It's what the cool kids do. We're down to 2 bottles a day. One in the morning, one at night.
4. He likes to have his shirt off and tries to take it off all day long.
5. He has a farmers tan. Meaning we are outside a lot. Wanna bet that mom has a farmer's tan too?
6. His feet are always dirty. See # 2

This morning the soy boy and I walked over to the grocery store for some yogurt and cottage cheese. And on our way home, he convinced me to stop at the park. I mean really, when your little Mr points at the park and gets all excited and starts jabbering away, how can you turn him down?

There's just nothing like starting your day at the park when the birds are chirpin, and baby piggins are free of shoes, and jammies are still on... We had the park all to ourselves, and our quick detour turned into a long detour as we soaked up the sun's rays and took our sweet time, just mama and son.

And on our journey home we walked down this sidewalk and I was in my happy place as luscious green grass greeted us and large green trees hung overhead.

It was such a beautiful morning with my little.
Forget about my meltdown at the doctor's office this afternoon and my flat tire that accompanied me home from said doctor's office. To that I say hakunna matata. And stuff my mouth full of red velvet cake complete with buttercream frosting.

Happy Monday.
