I'm behind on blogging. And I'm a bit overwhelmed because I have a LOT to blog about. Starting with our Utah trip, celebrating my birthday with my twin, and ending with a viewing of Wicked. But today is not the day for that post... That post is gonna take some time.
As for today, my boy and I celebrated a rain storm by heading to Target and walking the aisles singing "if your happy and you know it" and trying on hats and shoes. I love these outings with just my boy! I treasure them up.

He chose to wear his Rebel shirt today. He asks me to wear it everyday, but we compromise with once, maybe twice a week.
And I have to say, I was all kinds of excited when I saw these beauties on clearance in my size.

I just had to rescue them from the clearance bin, they are much too cute to not have a home! And they are comfy. Comfy and Cute and on Clearance!! The three C's that make my day!

Meet Sawyer

He serenades us by playing the piano and singing his abcs. At the same time.
Don't mind the fact that he's in his diaper, he always puts on his best when he's practicing!
My new calling as relief society pianist has put him in heaven as he watches my fingers dance all over the keys. You can see the wheels turnin as he's watching, trying to figure out exactly how to make music!
My little maestro! Love him something fierce!

Our days are hard if Sawyer doesn't get a nap in. He fights it. He fights it hard. I told him the other day his mom should be fired because I wasn't having supermom patience with the whole scream/thrash around fit throwing that was my son every five minutes.
I went in the other room took a breather, gave myself a baby pep talk, and took my boy in my arms and rocked his screaming self until he finally gave in.

And this was the reward. I love me a sleeping baby. Something about those baby purrs and those sticky cheeks that pull me in!
We have a nightly routine. We say night night to daddy, lyla, and the basketball. We climb upstairs, he turns on the light and helps me close the blinds. Because he's big now. We grab blue blank and he lays his head on my shoulder while we sway back and forth singing twinkle twinkle little star and I am like a star shining brightly. Then he gets in bed with 3 binkies, 2 blankies, 1 stuffed chick, 1 stuffed basketball, and one baby pillow. We say our prayers and turn off the lights. Mommy starts to walk out and turns around for one more kiss. And then the door shuts and my boy falls fast asleep. And I go down and reward myself for the day with some peanut butter.

My boys
I sure love when I'm scrolling through my pictures on my phone and randomly find this one:

My boys. I am so in love with both of them. They make my heart smile. They tease me like boys do. They tackle me when I'm sitting down. They tell me they love me with hugs and kisses. They eat honey kicks and lemon yogurt. They love to read books. They cant start their day without some good shoes on. They both put gel in their hair. They would rather drink than eat. They watch sports whenever they get the chance. They play in the dirt. One is my best friend, the other my best buddy. And they got me wrapped around their fingers.
How I got so lucky to have these two boys in my life, I will never know.
